Cheryl Holland Willis is a graphic designer trained in Swindon School of Art and Design who creates art work in various mediums such as drypoint, pencil, pen and ink and acrylics.
Drypoint is a form of printmaking where the artist engraves a design into a plate, the plate can be acrylic or metal. Ink is the rubbed into the burs and run through a press onto damp paper.
Cheryl loves nature, and often her designs are from the Wiltshire countryside where she lives and birds feature a lot in her work. She uses a lot of Pentel products and particularly likes the pointliner range of pens.
Cheryl has taken part in this years Swindon Open Studios showcasing her new work at The Barn Stanton Park alongside 4 other artists.
She will soon be moving to Minety in Wiltshire where she will have her new studio built, she is planning new ideas for the future, even ceramics which she is enjoying playing with at the moment.
